The compass scanners have the 13.77 freq while the MXT and M6n have the 14 khz. Is it possible to modify a coil for these detectors [like for example a 12.5 inch excellerator] so that it would fit on the compass machines? If so..... would it still work properly like you expect from a compass detector?

Don't think its possible and I have several compass machines including goldscanner pro and coin scanner pro but you could post on the anolog forum and see what the pro's say. I'm not an electronics expert but I believe it is more complex than operating freq. Dan
