Hi guys. Been a little busy juggling work, family and detecting. Spent several decent hunts, a ton of junk, lots of lead sinkers but we don't need to see pics of all that!

Had a bit of a "run" today with 4 golds in a row!

Golds of note from left to right...

- Best guess is 22ct based on weight (could be 18ct) Markings are totally worn off from sand movement. Looks pretty old and handmade. So happy to see that one in the scoop!

- Really nice 18ct ring in the front - found on my most 'hit' beach of 2014. Lovely ring, ATX saw through a rock, moved the rock to reveal!

- 18ct behind, a lot smaller, inscribed Austria and Argintina? From in the water and mud - very weak signal and deep!

- Big 9ct mens ring, found today! Pretty heavy.

- Small 9ct - found last weekend, weak signal in deep sand 2 - 3 scoops down.

- 9ct horse shoe ring...found during the week. Again in very deep sand. Weak signal on the ATX. Need to dig everything!

- 9ct ring with a large amethyst? Needs cleaning. Found today also in deep sand with a snorkel, mask and holding breath!

9ct & 9ct - one from today, one from during the week. Only a few grams each but they still count!

Overall a great few days hunting but this post does not show the "failed" hunts with nothing but pull tabs! and those $#$$ bottle tops which the ATX loves!

WoW! :drool::clapping:

I've been coming here checking on you...glad you posted, was starting to worry you gave up the Sport from such a discouraging year you had!:rofl:

Thanks for a nice refreshing post! Been cycling through periods of rain then extremely cold temps, keeping many in-the-snow-playlng people off the icy covered hills. But l feel like a hunt anyways after seeing your great post! I would be happy just to get those junk rings you pulled out.:thumbup:

Weather is stunning here today in nz...quick work this morning then back to the beach....then work again. Funny, my 'meetings' are usually the same time as low tide!
