Time for a cold one

I went out water detecting at a local lake today and had a pretty fun day. It was overcast and windy so I had the lake pretty much to myself, a bit chilly though. I didn't get any great finds but got enough fun ones to keep me happy. The depressing part of the day was watching large flocks of Canada geese flying south and seeing yellow leaves blowing into the lake. Too soon!

Anyhow, I may not have gotten rich but.... now when I open a beer it will REALLY annoy the wife... LOL!

Good digs maybe a ring next time.

Interesting bottle opener....nice find!I found a couple myself while water hunting, one shaped like a foot and another like a guitar.Like yours better.Just about time to follow them geese south?

Lakes are tough, especially small ones. You still made a good showing and a cold one is always a nice reward, I know, like tou that it's even more fun to have that beer while showing off the latest gold find. Hope next time out you score.
Geese! I wish those stinkers would never come back, foul-fowl!

I like the bottle opener but you can keep those danged geese. When I first came to South Carolina we rarely saw a goose. Now those crapping machines are everywhere there is a nice green space. Most of them stay here year round.

Cool! Thats a good find to keep a guy sort of warm all winter...Yeah, leaves turning, geese flying, salmon running...the late night drums of highschool football, wood smoke in the air...George, you get ready, the flying crappers are heading your way!
