Tim,
Would u define/explain the "null" sound. It would help others I believe. Thank you wmike

Mike a null is when the threshold disappears.. null is no sound at all, if your running silent threshold then you will not know when the machine is nulling over a disced out target

Tks Jim, I've been digging some elbow depth holes with the sounds coming and going. Am wondering if I'm covering up a good one even using the probe. Tried Audio 1 today and couldn't get use to it although I noticed I was getting more hits. The trouble was,,,,I wasn't finding anything. Guess I need to practice more in that mode. The trouble with that it, I have pounded an area real hard with 3 coils and about all I'm getting now are the iffey ones. wmike

If you have an area that you have really searched hard, come back at a different angle. For instance if you were searching east and west, chance your pattern to north and south. You will be suprised at how many "new" targets you get.
Yeah, I work the iffy ones too <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
