Did you get a chance to use it this weekend? How did it do and, does it go deep? And if you dont mind me asking how much did a used one cost you?

I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. But from what I can tell so far, It does go a little deeper than my Compass Coin Scanner Pro II and seems to have a little better target separation in trashy areas. Its also simple to use, pretty much a turn on and go machine. Not sure if I'm going to keep it though, I don't really care for the auto ground balance or the discrimination setup. You don't have any fine adjustment on the Disc. You must choose either all metal, Iron disc, Foil disc, Tab disc, Zinc disc or accept Quarters and above. As you increase the disc everything to the left is also eliminated. It seems like notch discrimination but when you eliminate pull tabs you also eliminate nickels and rings. Most other detectors with notch disc. will still pick up nickels when pull tabs are eliminated. I also prefer the multi tone machines to the single tone of the Coin Select.
I purchased it used from Kellyco for $350 with a blank warranty card. They said it was used for a field testing.

If you decide to get rid of it let me know.I will take it off your hands.

With most two filters, higher discrimination levels reduce performance.
Wilson's detectors are a bit different as he told me you don't Loose any performance up to TAB Discrimination.
My attitude is to Set the Discrimination LOW enough to IGNORE Iron and just go for those Lightning Quick Audio Strikes.... What could be more simple?
If you Give up the Wilson, there WILL be lots of takers.
It has the Fastest Response in a Motion Based Discrimination Circuit.
It doesn't even require a static pin point mode its so quick.
It almost neutralizes Target Masking....
Matter of fact, I have TWO BRAND NEW Northstars in the box... BOTH with 7" Search Heads which are even faster then the Northstar with 10.5" Search Head while increasing sensitivity-signal to the smallest gold chains.
I'm keeping one for myself and the other one I'll consider selling on another forum or Ebay. Haven't decided yet. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">
