A trip to the scrapyard, and a few hours later this is how it turned out. I'm going to try it out, but I'm thinking I'll round the digging part out. The handle is only 3/4" so it may not take a whole lot of abuse, but that too can be replaced later. Detector has arrived! Hopefully, give it ago at low tide tomorrow.

i have attached a few pics.............one is my s/s scoop showing repair job and then another pic where i sent it to bill babb for repair again..........has not broken since this mod.

a pic of your scoop showing Y................Y is where someday down the road u will need to add something...........u need to be thinking about it

you are getting ready to dig some holes far beyound anything u have yet dug and a lot of them, so u will need a good sturdy scoop.

the one u made really looks good and sturdy, soon u will get to put it to use.............go to barnes and noble and get u a small hand book on chinese tooo :) :) for real
