Tigershark not going deep enough??

stash

New member
I bought my Tigershark about a year ago and just had it in the water yesteday. It seems that all I get is 4 to 5 inches in depth in water and land. I believe I have the ground setting correct, meaning no change in threshold when goint from 7 inches above ground to 1 inch abouve the ground. Anybody know how to set it up fro greater depth???

PS-I assumed the unit would go maybe 10 to 12 inches on a quarter or half-dollar.

Thanks stash

Once iin a while one sneaks out that is not quite up to par sensitivity wise. What will it air test on a nickle?

I know there are 3 internal settings.
1.volume-self explaining
2.treshold--self explaining
3. sensitivity----When I FIRST got the unit it was chirping quite a lot. I backed it out maybe .002 of a inch, and the chirping went away. did I loose depth by doing this??

I am hunting Freshwater

Thanks!!!! stash

and see what you get. Even what seems like a small turn of the senstivity pot can make a big difference.

I pulled a quarter at about a foot, dimes and nickles at 6 to 8 inches...and a can uuugggg at 15 to 18. Salt mode of course :) I sometimes get some chirping but I can tell the difference from chirp and a target. I don't want to mess with the internal settings. It shouldn't be any trouble to get it where it should be ya just might have to experiment a little.
