how well does the TS work in wet salt sand? i had a cz5 and a 1280x they went crazy on wet salt sand.is the Tiger Shark any better? thanks

The Tiger Shark is a FIRST RATE freshwater detector but drops down below the Excalibur, Beachhunter ID and Fisher CZ20 in salt water. I spoke to alot of people on forums about it and it seems like it tends to chatter an awful lot in salt water and the only way to get that to stop is to drop the sensitivity down to the point where you've lost alot of depth.

I had hoped it would be a great all around detector for me to use in both salt and fresh, but I decided not to go that route after talking to experienced people

If you can live with about 4" of depth in the salt water go for it. That is all I could get out of mine. It is KILLER in fresh water, but lacking on depth in the salt. HH Joe
