What's you eexperience? Should you get a straight shaft for the Tiger Shark ( It's amust have for the Excalibur) or does Tesoro sell one that is good? Jim

I had a Tiger and did not need a straight shaft. You can mount the control box under your forearm or in the middle of the shaft.
Hope this helps.

Hey Jim, I don't have any personal experience with the Tiger, but Anderson Shafts makes a nice straight shaft for the unit, if you get it and decide you need one. Just an fyi.

I made a straight shaft for mine when i owned one. ended up making a chest mount for it................worked great that way............., belt mounted....................my opinion is a crappy set up..............has this big add on piece for belt...and rob mount like in the pic attached....................that sticks in your hip or back.

i threw that in trashcan and made a nice flat piece of 1/8" plastic and strapped tiger ot it and mounted on my harness on chest.

headphones plugged in from the bottom................what a set up...................good detector with a few setbacks.

Thanks for the pics and info. I made a chest mount for the Excal for diving. Course I don't have it now as it's in Vegas being repaired for the second time. Me thinks it's about time for a change. Ko,
