tiger shark sensitivity

Hi all, I have a question about the tiger shark and sensitivity. I bought my tiger shark new last year and did not get to take it out as much as I would have like too. I adjusted the threshold and volume but left the sensitivity at the factory set level. My question is should I adjust the sensitivity above the factory level? If so what's the best way to go about it? I am assuming I would turn it up until it starts to become unstable and then back it down until it gets stable again. Is this something I can do on the bench as long as the coil is not near metal? Thanks for the help everyone. HH.

Sandman from the Treasure Net forum says no, Do not mess with it! Because of this I have never touched mine, and to be honest I really don't see a need to. The Tiger is deep enough and sensitive enough as it is, so I leave it alone. I have actually never touched any of the pots.

I did it and it works great. When in discrimination mode adjust the sensitivity when in all metal adjust the threshold.

Might have to try it.

Like all machines..It depends a great deal on the water your hunting.... and the minerals you encounter...

It can't hurt and you can always move it back....

You will have to adjust it when you go from wet to dry sand, like Elton said set it to the point where it is stable for the conditions where you hunt.It has no effect on the all metal just on the dis.Do not let any water or sand get in when you set it

I gained some depth by tweaking mine. I got it used so don't know whether it was at the factory setting or not.
