Hello. For those of you who have access to a tiger shark and wouldn't mind helping me out I have a question. .in disc mode (normal mode) with disc on 0 all the way down,will your unit read a Bobby pin consistently? Now if you switch it to salt mode will it read it. Mine is like it is almost rejecting the Bobby pin at 0 disc and my understanding was that it would go down into the iron ranger enough to read it. Thanks. Daniel

Bobby pin at 0 disc should almost be gone,on the tiger.That is where I leave my dis no higher.
you may lose some thin chains at that setting but you will not much else.
If you go to all metal you will find the all of the thin stuff .The dis on the old stingrays one and two can drop below Bobby pins so you can still get the thin chains in dis mode .I have not used the salt mode on the tiger but I think it just lowers the sensitively to handle salt better.
