Tiger Shark Question

New member
I like the idea of an all terrain detector. Living in a very wet place that's attractive and it would be a detector I could take in my kayak to places most folks won't venture. However headphones are not something I want to wear all the time. In some situations it's better to be able to hear what's around you. Can the Tiger Shark be had with a speaker?

"Can the Tiger Shark be had with a speaker?" Short answer is no, not from the factory, the headphones are hardwired. I suppose you could make a modification to the headphones to wire up an outside speaker, then, there goes your warranty. I like to use headphones, they give the audio nuances that you need to hear.

As stated above the headphones are a big advantage on the audio. They don't block out all the surrounding sound and you can still hear what's going on around you. The Tiger in disc mode is silent unless you are over a target.

I have the volume cranked on the inside and I just wear them around my neck when I'm on land or snorkeling. I only put the headphones over my ears if I'm scuba diving. It would be nice if all the controls were on the outside. HH
