Tiger Shark or Sand Shark?

Hello,
Three months ago I made a mistake and purchased a White's Beach Hunter ID. It's in the shop...seems that the word is that White's released a detector for sale that really wasn't perfected.
Now I need a backup salt water detector. A friend loaned me a Fisher 1280 X but the "falsing" due to wave activity drove me half crazy. My question is this: Do I purchase the Tiger Shark or the Sand Shark for my salt walter beach hunts? I usually detect in ankle deep water...so which of the 2 machines is better in the salt water surf (as far as not giving off false signals)?
Please reply soon...I don't know how much longer my wife will give me the green light for buying yet another detector....Thank you

How good is the Sand Shark in fresh water? Would it work better than the Tiger in areas with high mineralization? Thanks folks

Hello nanovanman.....the :tesoro: Tiger Shark is a dual mode detector. In normal mode, it works just like the other Tesoro detectors, and will handle the mineralization, and the water well. It really shines on wet salt sand, as in the salt mode it uses an entirely different set of electronics to operate. I would recommend the Tiger Shark for your application as I understand it. :beers:
