Tiger Shark on land.

Yes, the TS works as well as any land model beep and dig detector Tesoro makes, I've used mine at a few old house demolitions and it is great in the nails. Was digging indian heads out of holes with square nails mixed in. I believe I set disc. to 5 on the dial and I was running the 8" coil.

I haven't used mine on land a great deal, but from what I have, I would feel comfortable swinging it either in the rain or if it happened to be the detector with me at the time.

Before I bought another detector I used mine very often on land. It is a great machine, a little heavy after a couple hours of swinging though. You may want to either hip mount it or get a "swingy thingy" for it. It also is great for detecting sled hills during winter.
I love it in the water and on the beaches of lake Michigan.
In my opinion, you won't be disappointed with the Tiger Shark.
