Tiger Shark - New vs Old

cometguy

Does anyone know if the new Tiger Sharks are any different than the old, minus the hard wire? I just bought one of the old ones and I was curious. I would also like to know if anyone has any observations about the Tiger Shark as a land hunter

Thanks, Don

I would think that the new and the old Tiger Shark are the same unit except for the hardwired coil... like you said. I've had a Tiger Shark since they first came out with it, put hundreds of hours on it and it has never been sent back for repairs. Just a solid and well built unit that is sensitive to small gold because of it's expanded disc. range and quiet electronics. I've used mine on a few land hunts, but it is a little heavy, in the water though, once submerged, it attains a neutral bouyancy. The contol box can be mounted under the forerarm for better balance if used on land.
