Congrats!! I hope you love your new Tiger and clean up with it:thumbup: I am waiting on mine now as well so I understand itching to have it already. I think I will do some land detecting with mine first just to get a good feel for it. I have been advised to practice ground balancing it over and over again so that it gets easy and there is no question on how to do a proper gb. Have fun with that Tiger Tank!

maybe we should just call you tiger Hank.

Hi Hank,

As you are tinkering around with the Tiger Shark, just as an experiment, take it to the nastiest iron nail strewn site around. Find a clean piece of ground to G/B on, then set your disc way up high around the 5 mark on the disc. knob, then wade through the mess, and see if there are any old coins there, I'll bet the Tiger will find a few of them if they are there, you just might be surprised.

Speaking of setting the discrim at 5, is there a chart somewhere that correlates the numbers to names of what is discriminated out on the Tiger Shark? Something that says 4 on the tiger equals nickels, 5 equals pull tabs, 6 zinc pennies....etc.

Habenero,

My Tiger will still get nickels at five disc setting, of coarse all detectors are different. You may want to experiment some when you get yours.

I will do that in the next few days to test it out, Tiger Hank!

Thanks Hombre; I may have to just tinker with it to get an idea where things drop out for discrimination. What setting do you leave it on for your water hunting?

Habenero,

I run a low disc. setting in the water at around 2

Good advice that I can use thanks.

Yes, thank you for sharing Hombre, any advice and tips from an experienced Tiger user is much appreciated! :please:
