ToniSteve said:Hi,
I have one but now my daughter wants one too. So I got on a list at Badger Detectors in Madison, Wisconsin. The owner wrote the initial test article on that detector and probably knows it better than anyone else in the country. He uses it all the time. I am in Washington State but after talking to him I will gladly purchase from him, the information he shared about the detector and its usage/idiosyncrasies is worth as much as the detector and he took the time to answer all my questions plus more. I think his forum name is Scully. I will patiently wait. I am so backed up with work I cannot get out in the near future any ways. If it takes them time to get it right more power to them! You won't have to send it back continually like the Excals and other water units!
Best Regards,
Steve

Hi Neil,
I have not owned any of the other water machines but reading the forums and PMs to various folks has led me to believe that there are many problems associated with water machines, Excals, Infinium, and Beach Hunters, although lately I have not read much going wrong with the Beach Hunters. I have not found any issues yet with the Tiger Shark. The only way I would own an Excal is if I could afford to buy 2 with 2 extra batteries. I only hunt fresh water.
Best Regards,
Steve
