TIGER SHARK A GOOD CHOICE?

Absolutely. I have one and swear by it.
I tried a White's Beach Hunter ID, Fisher 1280X, and Detector Pro Wader last season and would not give up my TS for any of them. The only one worth considering, IMHO, is the 1280X.

Keep in mind that the TS is best in FRESH water - at the salt shore, it's performance degrades. If you want a detector that performs well in both, get a Minelab. But for fresh water, I wont trade my TS.

What is it you would like to know, specifically?

Yea what dahut said... it is great for FRESH water, get something else for salt.

Oh, and if you look at Joe's list of detectors owned, you'll see his TS has two numbers listed next to it: 8, 10.5. That is in inches and refers to the fact that the TS can interchange its coils - something none of the others can do without a factory refit! Nice bonus, there.

Amen Brother!!
