Got no play in the Tesoro forum so maybe someone here knows...
Did Tesoro abandon the water machines? Did they ever get the leak issue solved? It has been years so I would hope so... been out of the water-loop... Are they in stock at local dealers or out of production?

Got me Pal, but since you brought it up, those videos that Oldbeechnut, Surfdigger, and that danged old Crackbadger have on Youtube have given me the wanting for a water machine too...I've been looking at that Detector-Pro line, and others...I swing an F70 up here on the shores of Lake Michigan, and have to stay in knee deep water with no waves while some other guys are working the deep...from what I can tell, the MONEYS in the water...and thats what I'm interested in...i need a machine that is quick, batterys last forever, and can do fresh or salt halfway decently...I move fast, and would be happy with something that isn't picking up manhole covers in China...something I can quick broom the depths, like that Fisher, only water compatible...I dont need to have it rated at 250 feet, thats why i'm leaning towards the Detectorpro line...whatcha think?

I believe that Tesoro discontinued theyre water machines, look at the excalibur or for the money the garrett beach hunter 2 is a nice pi machine

Hello,
Tesoro has not discontinued their water machines. If you go to the website you will read that the machines are temporarily out of production. On another forum much more technical then this forum Tesoro recently posted that thought too, that they are temporarily out of production. They will resume manufacturing it as soon as they can. You will have to go to the website to see this. While you are there read the great field test of the Tiger Shark by Gene Scullion, known on this forum as "scully" owner of Badger Detectors in Madison, Wisconsin. He probably knows more about the Tiger then most and he is a great person too!

Here is the page from the Tesoro website where you will read the correct status of the detectors mentioned above. Scroll down to the water machine logos.

Best regards,
Steve

Gene did a great review on the Tiger and it is a great water machine. I have been very pleased with mine, I just don't get a lot of chances to use it and I have to admit that I favor the dry land hunting. I wish I lived closer to more beaches to use it more.
