Tidal Islands/ Sand Bars

Boston Metal

New member
My section of the harbor has an "island' on maps that appears at 1/4 tide and lower. I like going out to in in the kayak with my sons for our "private beach" anyways I am wondering if these formations are good places to hunt? Seems to be made more of rock and shells than pure sand, so clearly heavier items appear to collect there. Any thoughts or recomendations would be appreciated!

Down here in Florida those places are popular with boaters on the weekends. The ones I've hunted have been loaded with pull tabs and bottle caps. You won't know if it's worth hunting it until you actually do it. Let us know how you make out.
