How many time have you heard someone say my machine locks on dime ,rings or coins . Thy are not wrong but the statement can be misleading
I have a CZ70 with 7 segment ID with the coin segment the same for Wheaties, dimes, silver dimes, silver quarters and large cents
The F75 with 1-- 99 ID and will hit the wheat at 65 ,dime at 73 , Silver dime 76 ,S quarter 84 and large cent at 88 so to expect it to hit one exact #
when the CZ has a coin range of about 64 -- 99 is a little much .
The CZ has a zinc icon the range might be 54 -- 63 most of my Indians hit the zinc icon . The F75 a zinc is 61 and the Indians hit 55 to 58
I hope not to confuse. Thy are 2 different machines . The last coin of the year i dug was a large cent at a old site with F75 it hit 88
Would i get it with the CZ, you bet i would . Just would be a little bigger surprise.when it came out of the ground. HH Mike .

The Tid machines I've had experience with all varied as to how well they "locked on" to given targets - and of course, this varied depending on the depth of the target as well. One thing to be aware of for sure though is if you get a display that bounces around several coin IDs with possibly a trash ID mixed in - ALWAYS DIG. Quite often this indicates a coin spill or several or more different coins and denominations in one hole or at least a very limited area. Keep checking with the detector until there are no more signals. This has happened frequently enough to me that I now never hesitate to dig.
