TID Accuracy at depth

I've had my CTX for about a month now and I am very confident hunting by tone. However, I have noticed the TID accuracy is less reliable over 4". Is this normal? I dug a Roosevelt last night at about 5" and got a jumpy TID that occasionally hit all the way up to 12:50. Relying strictly on sound, I have dug targets at amazing depths. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm running Gonehuntings' combined 2 program with 'deep on'. I'm not sure if having 'deep on' will affect accuracy?

The CTX TID is about as reliable as any detector at depth and much better than many. The problem is there are a lot of things in the ground, including the ground itself, that will affect the TID.

DWB sorry to Hi Jack your Question, But Larry dos Ground Balancing make 4R a better TID Deeper, And dose having
Deep on Like DWB sead make a Deferences???? Mickfin

They don't for me Micky but, I'm 2000 miles away from you, your ground is probably different than mine. You will have to try it and see how it works for you.
