On the beach at 6:45 this morning. Hit clad ( $4.69 total ), junk, match box and a 925 hoop for the first couple hours of hunting the towel lines soft dry sand. Decided to try the sand between the hotels and the beach, this is a part of the beach that does not get swept by the beach rake. A TID 34 comes up on the screen at an inch deep, gave a push of the sand with my foot and eyed what looked like a chunk of brass. Even after I picked it up and saw it was a ring, I was skeptical because of the dull look it had, but the weight, stones, settings and craftsmanship all looked good. I could even make out 14k with my poor eyes. Even so, I was not going to get my hopes up till I got it home and tested it.
My thoughts are it has been out there for some time, it polished up nice and acid tests at 14k.... and although I have no diamond tester, I'm sure they are real. I won't be able to take it by my jeweler till Tuesday to test them. GL ALL
* Using the 705/HF DD Elliptical.....as always.
