TID 30...Just another cent, not this TIME!!

Sunday morning beach hunt spent collecting the usual clad, $4.77 total, Hot Wheels and junk jewelry. I was working an apparent coin spill in the towel line that had been spread out by the beach rake, I worked my way down by recovering the quarters first, then a couple nickels and while thinking the remainder TID 30s were cents....Look what I got! Its a Rodiger chronograph SS water resistant watch. Even after taking a turning in the sand by the beach rake, its still in excellent condition.:clapping: Little too big for my liking, its face is bigger than a silver dollar. Retails at a couple hundred bucks.
I never pass up those TIDs in the 28/30/32 as you can see by all the cents I have recovered. I've had a few gold rings show up in those TIDs, but this is the first watch that I can remember. GL ALL

** Late night post for me, was out all night working the negative low tide with the Xcal..will post this beach find and the sweet 14k with diamonds I got tonight in the wet sand tomorrow in the beach and water forum.

Good finds!

I've never found that Florida was a good place to wear a watch with a leather band. My guess is that someone was either going in the water or took it off because they were sweating. It always amazes me how people can lose a watch.

Thanks guys I have a blast MDing just like the rest of you...Yea, it's a nice watch, but not my style since its as big as wall clock!

Mapper,I wear a watch with a leather band all the time, but have a metal band one for water hunts. My thoughts on how someone loses a watch on the beach, and I know I say this all the time, is the fact that are beach sand is like liquid the way it can make anything sink and disappear that is dropped on it, that and most of the people out there now are young and drunk, look at all the change they lose.

Its all right time, right place Mark.....and a lot of luck.

Nice watch,, I wouldn't even need my glasses to see the time with it..:)

Very cool Bob. I agree on digging those 30's. I know guys who won't dig them because they think they waste their time on "pennies". Like Digger says though, you never know unless you dig it. Lord knows what you might be passing up!
