hi all! man, i bet i've pulled off 50 ticks so far. but really, i only have myself to blame, relying on off! - which doesn't work on ticks. [or on me, for that matter] so a tick repellent with permethrin is definetly in the works for me when i get back out this weekend. a fellow named silversmith claims a scented dryer sheet in his shirt pocket wards off mosquitoes, gnats and other flying insects. i'll try it too. i've had a lot of trouble using off!, everytime i use it i have trouble going to sleep that night. i dunno, go figure. i'm happy to report that oscar the snake is doing well too. oscar is a huge black snake, every bit of 6 and 1/2 feet long and fat. he has a good temperment and allows me to hunt around him, we just met last month. now if i could just train him to scare away the ticks...hh,

Yep!!! Got ticks, got bit, got red, and now got Doxycycline. 3 weeks worth. And don't believe everything you hear about how long it takes to transmit. It was on me for about 5 hours and was not even growing yet. But it will be gone soon enough. Won't stop me from detecting though. Went out Thursday and found 2 flat buttons. Better luck Saturday when I go to a better area. Be careful out there and don't let the bed ticks bite!!! HH
