Thursday Hunt (Opinions Wanted)

Older ball field and playground. Cool morning, warmed up, got cool again. Quit around 2pm. Tired. 82 coins for $9.57. 5 wheat cents. Many 1960s clad coins. Didn't manage any silver but I'm betting it's there. Found some other things but nothing special except for Mr. Grant. I would certainly not have found it had I not been detecting but I did not need my 2500 to locate it. I spotted it from pretty far off. Stuck low in a chain link fence. I looked and looked for some of his friends. Would you consider this a MD find?

I'll be going back to that site real soon!

Chris

Not sure but I would love to find one "MDing":hot:

Nope - send it to me and well forget you found it.
If you aint "eyeballing," you aint a full-fledged detectorist.
One of the hot spots for eyeballing is the chain link fence downwind on fields, playgrounds, parking lots etc.

Now you know why.

Good luck was with you.

I found a dollar bill on a volleyball court on Monday. I would not have found it unless I was detecting. I say you found it fair and square. It makes my dollar look pretty little about now...

I think it counts, people show bottles that they find while MD'ing so why not cash...

Can you imagine how long it would have taken to dig 5000 cents! You just saved yourself 5000 knee bends!

I can stand to do a few extra knee bends. I got pretty trim after the MD season last year and forgot to adjust my caloric intake when I quit hunting in December. I won't be spending it on McDonalds. Beer? Maybe.
