Went to the bank before hunting and my favorite teller said she had something for me. I made my usual sarcastic comment and when I went over to her window this is what I got. She had already given away $5.00 worth before she noticed they were silver. So I got $5.00 in loose silver quarters, mixed dates, and one full roll of 1963 and 1963 D. I thought that this called for flowers so I sent her a small arrangement. 30 bucks for the flowers and 15 for the quarters and I'm still way ahead. Thought seriously about going back home because everything else would probably pale.

Went to the soccer fields hoping to break my no "keeper" jewelry streak. Dug the crucifix second or third hit. Probably brass. Found the 925 silver bracelet about midway through 4 hours. Silver free form ring was almost the last thing I found under some bleachers. Unmarked, looks handmade. I'm 92.5% sure it's silver. Real solid and heavy. I'll walk it around to some of the quirky shops in town and I'm sure one of them will recognize it. Pretty sure the 28 mm disk is a large cent but there are no details left. Size and weight are right. The button is real old too. Found them close together. Biggest scare of the day was the key wallet. Found it about 10 inches down and when I saw it I had visions of silver coins spilling out of it for a good 30 seconds before I pulled it out of the hole. Just a big bunch of keys, but still cool. One small skeleton key which was on my to find list. They vehicle keys look older to me like 70s or 80s. It turned out to be key day as I found the others a few seconds later. Pennies were plentiful too and I notched them after two hours. Still got most of the copper ones on the dime notch. Also two wheats. 1946D and 1950. Got too hot for me as I was way over dressed. Put a nice light T-shirt in a sealed zip lock bag in my field kit for when this happens in the future. 86 coins for $8.89. I'll rate the day B-. So-so coin count for 4 hours but I did take 3 or 4 smoke breaks and had to walk way back to my truck for water once so all in all not bad.
I started the day all metal and notched out until I ultimately ended up with the same old set up.
Getting dry up here so I am going to take it easy on the grassy areas until it rains. Maybe I'll hit a few swimming holes over the weekend.
Good luck gang!
