....... regular merchant vessels, major concealed armament, flagged as needed, likely well powered and sent into most likely areas as a "bait" ship. Their appearance could be changed as required.

Trailing along the Somali coast, these ships would be major labour savers, NO NEGOTIATIONS required ......... no d.... lairyers either ! Only problem being that they would soon run out of pirate customers. Those SOB's would have to trade in their SUVs and AKs for fishing gear and raise goats, if they were too scared to put out to sea again.
