My lady is hooked on metal detecting.. I never thought I would see the day :) She loves the outdoors, lots of trail running and hiking.. I started taking her along detecting with me, Ill detect while she goes for a run. Then she checks back in to see if I had found anything good. She starting thinking about all the parks she had been. She remembered a particular park that had a couple of huge foundations deep in the woods.. I was more than willing to go check it out. I was amazed by the amount of trash I came across... I only spent about an hour hunting.. I could spend days there digging.. For the small amount of time I had, I kinda cherry picked signals.. Mainly looked for the deeper tones.. I was able to pull a couple of neat items out.. The first was a little Ohio National Guard Badge. The 2nd Is a 1904 Chicago Worlds Fair Spoon. It was every bit of 10 inches down and unfortunately very beat up. I was able to find similar spoons online by searching 1904 ST. Louis spoon. I'm definitely going to be going back and spending some quality time there digging.. Places like that I like to save for the winter time when the parks are frozen and you cant get your digger in the soil.
Thanks for looking guys and gals!
