Through this gate...treasure!

From the land of the Bluenose...Jwp (Johnny White Pail) and I started the morning off right with a visit to Tim's to get the blood a flowing on a rather hot day. Hit a school yard first where JWP hit a honker of a silver ring (let him tell you about it) and dug our brains out. JWP's sister and a friend showed up and we showed them how it was done and I'm sure in the process created two lean mean diggin machines!

From there it was off for a few refreshments as the heat was cooking this bouys head the colour of a cooked lobster while JWP was melting like butter in a skillet.

Then we entered the gate!

But not before JWP expelled some handy man stuff to the "Seahunter" writer who is in the process of renovating his house. Me on the other hand ...is allegic to power tools and keep my distance from them!

The heat took it's toll but like a Timex we kept on a ticking with JWP hittig a rare Legion commerative token and I a toasty Nova Scotian penny token (circa 1840) followed by a 1917 quarter and two religious medals...um did skip 10 o'clock mass at my church.

Anyway here is JWP's pile with the nice 925er U.S.Navy ring and legion token. hats off to John who hit a personnal high of 67 coins.

My take for the day was a 1917 quarter, two religious medals, toasty Nova Scotia penny token (circa 1840) a lock with two pulls tabs and 136 coins @ $13.76
