Threshold tone in Disc Question?

Been meaning to ask this for a while. Is it just my machine or is it common to all F-75's that after reset, if you turn the sense above 87, you hear a threshold tone? If I turn the machine off and then turn it back on, without resetting, the threshold is gone. By the way, I can only hear the threshold in 3, 3H, 4, 4H and DP. Seems that 1, 1F and 2F aren't affected.

The manual says that if you crank the sensitivity high enough, you may be able to hear the internal circuitry of the machine. Maybe this is what you are hearing?

That's a thought but why only in 3, 3H, 4, 4H and DP? And why only after rest but it doesn't do it when you just turn the machine on? Maybe I just have one of the real hot ones? Yeh, right!
