As a new SE Pro user, I'm trying to set up my machine, and my logic said that I should lower the threshold tone down to 1, to get it as low as possible (and thus as dis-similar to "good" tones as possible). I have a friend that does this, also. However, I read a post here on the classroom where someone said that if you lower the threshold tone, you proportionately lower ALL the machines tones, such that a high silver tone won't be as high with threshold tone set at 1, as it would be with the threshold tone set at, say, 5. However, another poster disagreed with this.
Is there anyone that has a definitive answer on this? I sure don't want to lose any of that nice "high tone warble" I have heard spoken of, through something as seemingly innocent as changing my threshold tone...
Thanks,
Steve
