Threshold squeal?

I noticed on my XL-PRO when you turn it off their is a slight high pitch short squeal before it shuts off? Anybody else notice this with there XL-PRO or other 4 filter analog detector? My previous XL-PRO/6000 didn't do this? I had it at White's and Todd said this was normal? Have anyone else noticed this? Otherwise it works as it should. Thanks.

6000 Pro XL and XL Pro models and, yes, sometimes that would happen. I also got the same reply ... sometimes it just happens, and I have noticed that at times with other makes and models.

If it's just a very brief squeal, I wouldn't be too concerned.

What if you turn the sensitivity down first???

Did you get the modded XL Pro ? About the squeal, Mine does it and so does my 5900, no worries mate.

It's just the sound of a powerful analog circuit shutting down

Thanks for the reply's. It does it even at pre-set,But feel better knowing others do it. I finally sent it to megadiver as I wanted to check it out at White's first to make sure all is good while they still have parts for the XL-PRO as some they are not making anymore. He received the detector today and said he will have it modded by the weekend. I should get it next week sometime. I can't wait as always wanted to try one. We are the only two besides Megadiver left on the forum who will have a modded XL-PRO.
