threshold question...

Howdy all. Has anyone ever found a connection between threshold settings and detecting small stuff? One reason I think a lot of folks feel like the C$ is "noisey) is because that sucker can detect some tiny little stuff. The "noise" (most of the time) is little stuff that goes undetected by a lot of other machines... whaddya think?

could be? I always assumed it's power allows it to find tiny little things, like tiny bits of lead & little BB's. Whats nice about the C$ is that with threshold, you can run it as "noisey" or quiet as you like. Something like a 430 setting is very quiet. I think folks who think the C$ is noisey is probably running sensitivity & thresh too high to see how deep it will go.....
