threshold level for water hunting

Hi guys....For those of you using the blue garrett headphones. Can you only hear the threshold from 7 /7.5. Below not at all?

If so...how do you hunt - with the threshold a constant hum at 7....or dead quiet set below 7??

These are certainly much louder than the greyghost amphibians! I brought them for my hookah rig

You don't need threshold . It goes deep enough. I set mine up so it's just off when I'm at the beach .
