As I posted yesterday, . I went to a local park, had good results and everything it worked as it should. I took the Multi Kruzer to the same park, today, and had a problem. The threshold will not hold. After ground balance, the GB value will stay on the screen and I can hear a threshold. After about 5 seconds, the GB value disappears and so does the threshold. When I try to access the threshold setting under "settings," the cursor skips over "Settings" and goes directly to "iSat." I am searching in 3-tone, 14 kHz. I don't remember this occurring yesterday. In reviewing the users manual, it seems to say that the threshold audio is only available in the GEN search mode. Is that correct? I swear that was not the case, yesterday. Today, I was still able to detect targets, but they were fairly shallow. HELP, ANYBODY!

Hi,
The only time you will have continual Threshold is in GEN - All metal Mode
When you ground balance in any other mode like 3 tone, the Kruzer goes into Gen Mode momentarily until the ground balance is done
So since you are using 3 tone the threshold sound will disappear in about 5 seconds.
I think you are OK

Yeah, the more I read the manual, the more I realize the machine is acting as it should. I took it out, put it in GEN search mode and the threshold was there and remained.
As I said, I could swear there was a threshold in the other modes when I used it yesterday, but I was undoubtedly concentrating so much on the other settings, that I wasn't paying attention to the threshold. Probably negative learning from other machines I've owned that had thresholds in all the modes.

We are finding issues with 3 Tone. Some of us can not GB in 3 Tone. Were you able to auto GB 3 Tone?

Thanks DaveNV. I think you are lucky if you can auto GB 3 Tone. Me, not so much.
I'm in Tropical North Qld., have so far had No trouble with GB in 3 Tone or any mode for that matter.
However I did find it hard to hear the GB sound without headphones in 3 tone on a second try.
We have had a lot of rain lately, would have preferred if the Kruzer had come with waterproof headphones instead of the wireless ones.
