Threshold --again

I can set and hear the threshold in all modes. Does that mean it's only effective in all metal? Why is there a tone in the other modes? I hope this makes sense. Your help is appreciated.
 
I use it on at gold for filtering out chatter on wet sand etc run as far into negative as needed will still go deep
 
Woody, you can run and set your threshold with a slight hum or without in both All-metal or Disc. I usually run between -3 to -1 on my threshold. Seems to calm the Max down for me.
