Threshhold Question

TtheGreat

New member
I went detecting for the first time today on a playground, it went ok but like every swing the threshhold would go silent.

Is ths because i went over iron or somthing discriminated agaist with almost every swing?? or do i have it set wrong

If this is normal, do I just wait till threshold returns then continue???

You should be doing this......
Swing it slow and level.

Check in all metal to see if there really are discriminated objects in the ground.

If you find no distinct objects, then your sensitivity is set too high. Back it down until you have a fairly constant threshold in discriminate mode.

It would probably be better at this point to run in "auto" sensitivity.

I could elaborate more,, but do not feel up to writing a book today. What I have told you should get you off to a start.
