Three silver day.................:)

Had our club hunt today at Green Lake and what a beautiful day for a hunt. I got three wheat's, 46, 49 and a no dater. Got two mercs, 42 and a 45 and a nice Italian silver chain. I also got a heavy pendant, but I think it's nickle plated pewter. Three of the guys did some water detecting and two of them got gold rings. Not much to brag about as far as my finds go, but a post is a post..............:) HH.

I debated on whether to post or not, my camera isnt the greatest but I thought what the heck, im here to see some posts and might as well put up one. Glad ya did, silver always good. Is your 42 merc one of the more sought after ones??

Is it amazing - ya swing a coil at a lake

Bling, - Then ya post jewlery -
nice finds Eddie
Were ya near the water?

I figured you would do well. A few questions. How deep were they? Were they unequivocal signals, like you weren't surprised at the targets? What numbers? How much junk did you dig? Any other details we'd like to know?

Thanks.

Doug

It's always nice to see fresh silver come to light after being in the ground for so long. That is one nice little chain also. WTG We did good on the other side of the lake and better than the first one.

Thanks jb. I couldn't agree with you more that nothing is neater than bringing up silver to see the light of day once again.........:) That makes the last two hunts at this place that I have found silver. I can't wait to see your pictures on the post of your other finds from the other side of the lake. Get em cleaned up and post them would you!! I'm dying here to see what you got........:) HH.

Eddie

Thanks Doug. Surprisingly both of those mercs were only about four inches deep. My cross-hairs were bouncing around a little bit, but stayed mostly in the upper right hand corner of my screen. Digital they were 28 and I figured I might have silver and was very surprised to get two mercs within six inches of each other. The other thing that surprised me was I headed for the trees like everyone else probably does when hunting this park and it makes you wonder how everyone missed these mercs. Even without a Minelab detector you would think that someone would have found them by now. Gotta love that XS..........:) I did dig a lot of screw on bottle caps as they do have a nice sound to them and of course some pull tabs hoping to find a gold ring maybe and those five cent things called nickles. HH.

Eddie

Thanks Bruce. That silver chain was a nice surprise. I haven't got my water machine yet, so I stick to the grassy areas of the parks. It's a good size lake and pretty much a park all around the whole lake. I'm sure there is still some more silver there to be found and I know there has got to be lots of jewelery still waiting to be found in the lake..........:) HH.

WTG Eddie,

Looks like you found a good spot, If the site isn't too far from you area you should go back.

Congrats,
Paul (Ca)

Thanks Paul. The park we hunted by the lake isn't that far from home, but it has been hunted quite a bit. That's not to say that there still isn't some more silver to be found there........:) I'm sure our club will be back there again for another hunt one of these days. HH.

Eddie

Look like they are in EF or better.

I know what you mean about posting on this forum.... I rarely post my finds because they look pretty weak compared to the heavy hitters that post here.

Mirage

Thanks Mirage......;) I did shine the mercs up and the silver chain for their picture. Hey, just post what you find and don't worry about the heavy hitters. Let's give em some competition.......:) HH.

Eddie

I found one exactly like the one you have there although mine was found in W.N.Y area and not sure of it's content....
Nice finds ....

I am glad you found a few Silver there Buddy. Also an added bonus when you find a Silver Necklace. WTG!!! Could this spot be on your return list because I know it would be on mine. Good Luck and HH.
