Three pronged Iron fork with brass rivets. Nail hill

Well-known member
was going thru the layer on nail hill , and hit a stone 1st then next to that the compadre was getting a strong signal so i dug very carefully and was able to escavate the 3 pronged fork as it actually was sitting in ground , it is made from cheep steel and had a wood handle , this is a testimony to how poor this family was no silverware hear just Iron , Iron that left a taste in your mouth, Iron that left the drying towel orange, You know they got the daily allowance of Iron eating with this rusting thing, I would call it the devals fork as it has three prongs- like the devals pitchfork yes three prongs whereby he spears the souls of men . With the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, they probably had this set of table ware for a long time before they got the silver plated brass ware or even real sterling for special occasions. but they got by and got the daily allowance of Iron and became strong to do farm work, Yes this tells of days when they sat at table and ate, and the fork clinked the whiteware dishes those days are gone and all that remans in the dirt is this old rusted fork , not much of a fork in its day and not much of a find in my day yes its hole existence it was not much -

Yes, but it made my day reading your story and imagining about a time long lost. Thanks,

Things were a little harder and simpler back then. I was raised by my grandparents when I was young. They didn't have much, but me and my uncles had a great time.

I would love to excavate a site such as yours. Looks like a boat load of fun!
