Three nickel day.

Yesterday I found 3 nickels before my arm cuff broke and aborted my hunt. I found a 1950 Jefferson,an unidentifiable dated Buffalo and a 1901 V nickel within 10' of each other. I shall return even if I have to swing my AT without the cuff until I get another cuff.

Sounds like a great spot to hunt..I can't blame you..and I know how it is. Mine has an issue, but I can't stop using it to send it back til freeze up..lol

Went back today found 3 more nickels 1940,1953 and a 1943 war nickel also 5 wheaties with the best being a 1919S.

Went back today found a 1925 Buffalo and 4 wheaties, my partner found a bunch of wheaties and a 1917 Mercury. The AT is definitely a Buffalo shooter as well as other nickels. If you get a 50-52 nine times out of 10 it will be a nickel. My magic VDI for a nickel is 52.

Went back today found 8 wheaties,1 indian head,2 Mercury dimes and other commons, also found another nickel 1954 Jefferson. My partner found a bunch of wheaties,an Indian head, two V nickel and a 1918 Standing Liberty quarter.

Grunter, I think we can officially designate that site a "honey hole" !! Congratulations!
