Three in two hunts..

Very sparse pickings around here, had to skim through my book right in the water to find these; haha. Actually what worked is in one of them--paying attention to the solidity of the sand, working low areas of the grade especially in early season when there is a lot of material moving around (mosltly in) and constantly looking for where the deeper heavier objects are coming out of the grade--bascially not wasting time up on the overburden. Yellow band is 18k, 6.9 gr. white is 14k 7.2 gr.and the other one is 10k 4.6 gr. Its also amazing how the consistently the activity center(s) of a location will produce again and again with nothing else ever coming from even thirty feet away.

I agree CJC, some pockets just seem to be consistent. I'm thinking currents, prevailing wind/wave patterns are what cause this. I've been monitoring certain trends in where my finds are grouped and this seems to be one of the factors.

Very nice tickets,

See the same at one of my local beaches. Same spots always seem to produce. Currents definitely seem to push items into certain areas. Also seem to be in areas where the denser substrate is near to the surface to keep the items within detectable range.
BTW What rig were you running?

I'm actually talking about the patterns of what's lost in that I don't have the benefit of massive sea waves / tides to have an effect. Was running the Aqua and then my metered Elite (chestmounted for the water) with a "Gold Rush" system. What's good about that is you can take the sens way down to get through the mineral but still hear very deep. Even better in all-metal. A very nice rig for the water if you don't mind carrying it.
