Just turned the Etrac onafter getting to my hunting spot and made about three to four steps and the Etrac says
11-46 at four inches...Oh well I'll dig a clad quarter any day...Well turns out it wasn't a clad Quarter but it was a
Decent 1900 Barber Half....Thought this is going to be a good hunt....Three hours later after dark around 8:20 pm
I dug the Rosie while heading back to the car....My first Barber Half and my first half since 1987or 88....Gotta love
that silver eating etrac of mine...:detecting:

That's awesome Duggr! You was just commenting about never finding a Barber half the other day. I did the same thing on a video once...mentioned I never find big silver and about 5 minutes later...bam...two Walkers..caught on video. :D

Dan
I never video taped it because it registered like all the other shallow quarters I have dug there....Go figure:shrug:

Congratulations on the $.60 Doug! Thanks for the pictures.

Fantastic ! :beers:

Hey duggr, you're now a member of the Barber Half club! Nice going, great job researching and detecting! :clapping:

With the oldie silver roll you're on, that elusive gold coin has to be just around the corner.

Yeah, that'd be nice, make it a $20 gold piece too!
I'd take a severly worn gold coin any day! :super:

I'm sure it happened but i can't say that i've ever seen someone posting a gold coin find on this forum from a park type area.

Congrat's on your first Barber Half and it's a nice one.

Oh yea, you can thank me for leaving those old coins for you to find. I still can not believe how close I was to that area several years ago and missed the hot spot by 20 to 30 yards, but I'm damn glad you found the hot spot tho. I hope you keep finding coins in that area.

I'm sure I won't get them all...But i'm sure I'll make it harder for the next guy running a detector thats
not as deep as the Etrac..

EXCELLANT....!!!!! I joined the barber half club last season myself and it took me 23+ yrs to join. Dug a fare amount of barb dimes & quarters but man was that half a long time coming....

You are on a roll for sure....keep up the great work!

Today I drove 70mi rt to another podunk town and forgot my headphones!!!!! Talk about some tuff hunting...lol Guy acrossed the street was doing laps on his quad, another guy next to him was running an air wrench, deisel PU's driving buy, etc. Had no idea how hard it is to hunt without headphones....did manage a rosie before I gave up.....

Thanks Oneguy,
I forgot my headphones once but fortunately I was at a Fairgrounds on the out skirts of town...Now I just leave
a Hard wired set of headphones in the car in case I forget my wireless.
