Three Crusty Rings yesterday

scott.f

I got out yesterday to a local lake that is highly alkaline. Had an enjoyable afternoon wading around swinging the Sand Shark and although the signals were very few and far apart I did manage to dig 3 very crusty old silver rings by digging signals that I wasn't sure were even there at first.

Here's the loot for the day...

And a shot of the rings before and after cleaning them up..

Hey the rings cleaned up nicely, and finding pellets is amazing , congrats hank

That's some nice rings. The largest ring is really unusual and a eye catcher. How did you clean the rings?

Tabman,

I used a home-made electrolosis unit to cook the crust off. Took about 10 minutes per ring. Then polished them using a dremel tool with a felt buffer and silvo polish.

Using the SS for a while you will be amazed at the slight signals you will hear and dig, sometimes i think that i didn't really hear the signal and it was my imagination until i dig down and the signal gets stronger, dig and you will be happy you did.
