Three 1935 Washingtons.....

Chris(SoCenWI)

Hello All,

I'm back up in Minnesota. Been tons of ground moisture and I should be getting out more often. Except it's raining again right now. I found three Washington quarters the last two outings. And all were 1935 plain. What are the chances? Did a local bank(s) get bags of that date and mint? Or perhaps just chance?

Another old man eyes story. I found the shiny merc on the left and didn't have my readers so didn't read the date. A couple of friends stopped by and I showed the coin to one and he said it was a 1922. I remembered the the 21 mercs where the more valuable dates. Kind of thought that they didn't make 1922s. But I was excited that I had a better date coin, and one with some mint luster left. Well, of course it wasn't a 22, but a 42-d. Guess his eyes were not much better.

Not really post-worthy finds but interesting.

Chris

Man, I can't even remember when I saw some rain here in H.B.SoCAL, (really).
Ground in some of my areas are so hard I carry a rock pick with me, and a little
more conductive ground would be nice (are you hearing this...rain guy!):rage:

That is some fine looking silver you've found here, chances or not. Yeah, hoping the rain here makes for some better hunting again. Silver's been more shy lately in this part of MN. Hope ya left some!

:usaflag:What part of MN are you guys from? I'm up in Cook...about 100 miles north of duluth.

Nice hunting, Chris!!

Yeah, what are the odds of finding 3 consecutive '35 quarters? :yikes: Pretty amazing!! I'm curious to see what your next silver quarter will be! :detecting:

Congrats,

Though I am hoping it won't be a 35 Washington. Think I got that base covered. 1901-S Barber would be sweet. Or even some seated.

Chris....ANY silver is post-worthy.

I get a stupid grin on my face if it is a Roosey OR a seated. It's ALL good.

Can't wait to see what quarter #4 happens to be. Make sure you let us know whenever you find it.
