Threashold Setting....

I've been operating with the threashold at 7 although I've read a few posts where Explorer users have been operating at a higher setting. What is the best setting in your opinion?? I've heard that a bit higher gives more depth.

I run mine lower; at 6. With that setting you hear no threshold at all, I find at 7 the threshold is too loud (for me). experiment when you are out in the field to find what suits "you" best.
More depth with a higher threshold setting.... don't know about that but I'd like anyone that thinks so to explain, might help me get more of those "deepies"
