Thoughts on the 4.5x7 excelerator coil

I keep hearing alot about the 8 inch my question is will the 4.5 x 7 do the job or do I need to sweet talk the wife again Ive got the 4.5 x 7 for trashy sites the 15 WOT for open hunting and the stock coil for an in between I was hoping that was all I needed Thanks HH

I have the ML 8" coil and love it. I would bet that coil would do just as well or better in trashy areas. I dont think that I would just go out and buy the 8" for the trashy areas if I already had the coil that you have, my guess is that you have it pretty much covered! HH

You've got all you need IMO YoungGun.
I have them both and I prefer the Excelerator.

ANother one I would suggest you consider, if you can get the wife to agree is the 10x14 Excelerator. It is a jam up good coil and much easier to pinpoint with than the 10.5 Slimline. It'll set you back about $200 new. I used mine today and was pulling coins at 12 inches!

By the way, if you don't already have the SunRay SX-1, get if first. Also, I would suggest making it a habit to buy the lower rods, having one for each coil makes changing coils a breeze. :)

Good luck!

I do already have the x-1 and wouldnt leave home without it. It is a necessity Ill see what I can talk her into on the 10 x 14 are they very heavy?
Thanks for the info HH
