thoughts on RNB battery?

gunwolf

Well-known member
just received mine today, I like the fact that it charges in 2 hours..
anyone else using this that can chime in? any downside to this battery yet?
I'm looking forward to the long run time, I'll probably use the stock battery as the secondary backup and the AA pack as the last resort...can't imagine ever having to even get into a backup if this Lithium battery lasts as long as they say...

There is no downside with this battery. More than likely will never have to use the double aa pack. It seems like this battery has unending power. You're going to love it!!!

You will be amazed !!!! You might even forget that the Etrac has a battery because the RNB last so long.... LoL

I timed 32 hours the first time I used it.

3 years ago that I think about it and bother me is expensive so I bought it. I use it for 3 years and its super! I don't buy AA batteries since! More you use ETRAC and more less think about expensive! Strong battery mean longer and find deep old coins!

I have 1 for each of my ET and Explorer 11 , all other batteries and chargers or pods have been sold on . No need for them .
The latest 3100 battery will last 35 hours i should think and maybe more , its similar for the older 2900 version . I have 1 of both.
Best thing i have bought for the ET / Explorer

Got one in my E-Trac last year and I've charged it one time since.

only bad thing about it is it lasts so long you forget to check it and end up going out with a low battery. after 1/2 way it really drops fast but love mine. last year my charger went bad and I had to send the battery and charger back and it was a holiday weekend and he answered my email so I shipped both and he ended up sending me a new charger with my battery

thanks guys! looks I made the right choice in buying one!!!!!!

I bought two when they first came out. One for my Etrac and one for my EX II. They were only 129.00 each back then. I do not find them dropping off fast when they get half way. I get 45 to 55 hours each out of mine but, I only hunt maybe 20 hours per week.......NGE

YES.

I have had my RNB battery for nearly 3 years and the only time you use a backup battery is when you leave it on when you put it in the trunk after hunting (yes I did that about a month ago when someone distracted me as I was putting it away).

Other than that, I haven't used my backup batteries since I got it. I don't charge it but once every couple of months.

You will never regret the expense.
