Thoughts and questions after my first time out with the CTX

Here are some thoughts and questions I came up with after my first hunt with the CTX. I'm sure most of these questions I have are petty and I will find the answer with research or trial and error, afterall I've only used it one time. This is more or less the first part of a journal I'm going to keep for the first 30 hunts with the CTX so I can go back and read later to see how things changed as I got more experienced with the machine... buried in these rambling sentences are some questions, concerns and thoughts... thanks for any comments or help....

Have you ran the firmware update to get saltwater mode of course that is assuming your in salt and that minelab isn't deploying machines without the update already installed... Yes, the threshold can be changed.
I am not a beach hunter but there are some active members on here that will most likely chime in and answer your other questions..
