Thought this was a cool little item!

I actually dug this last week and thought it was just junk.. I was cleaning out my bag and noticed it had some writing on it.. The lettering is all backwards but after I cleaned it I was able to make out Chase and Sanborn's high grade coffees and teas. I Googled Chase and Sanborn's coffee and found out they have been around since the 1800's.. I guess it's still a piece of junk, but a cool one
Good luck hunting everyone!!

I wouldn't consider it junk. It was used to print advertisement type. Go to the local library and check out the films of newspapers from the 1800's and see if you can match it to the plate. I did that with a Zoa Phora ad plate I found and was able to match it to a printed ad. Very cool.
